My name is Mesha Averitt and I am the 8th grade virtual science teacher. I started teaching in 1995, teaching nearly every grade from K through middle school, but most years have been in elementary school, spending the last 8-9 years teaching 3rd - 5th grades math & science. I have also been married since 1995 and we have two beautiful children (Madison, our daughter who is studying nursing at APSU, and Stephen, our son who is completing Lineman School. We have four dogs, two adopted golden retrievers (Ellie and Zoe), one adopted black lab mix (Leia), and our a toy poodle (Macy). I love to spend time with my family, read, work on technology resources, and crafting.

• Most work will NEED to be completed independently, while other work may need to be completed supervised by your Learning Mentor

• Video MUST stay on
• Eye contact on speaker
• Use the “Raise Hand” feature
• Dress appropriately
• Find a quiet workspace
• Focus on the Virtual class ONLY
• Check email each day
• Check PowerSchool weekly
• You must contact technology if you are unable to connect. If it is not able to be resolved the tech issue MUST be reported by submitting work order immediately THEN email/text/Dojo your teacher and let them know.
