CMCSS K-12 Virtual School is proud to announce its 2025 Teachers of the Year. These outstanding educators exemplify excellence in virtual teaching and a deep commitment to student growth and success.

• Elementary: Mrs. Milly Balthrop, Special Populations Interventionist

• Middle: Mrs. Anna McMurry, 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher

• High: Mrs. Felicia Brown, English II and III Teacher

Each of these teachers demonstrates the innovation, dedication, and care that define the Voyager learning experience. Their ability to create engaging online classrooms, foster strong relationships, and promote academic achievement continues to make a lasting impact on students across all grade levels.

Since opening, CMCSS K-12 Virtual School has been committed to providing high-quality, flexible learning opportunities for students throughout Clarksville-Montgomery County. The Teachers of the Year recognition highlights educators who go above and beyond to inspire students and support the school’s mission.

CMCSS K-12 Virtual School has once again been designated as Meeting Expectations in the annual Tennessee Virtual School monitoring for the 2025–2026 school year. This marks another year of continued excellence, as the school has received this designation each year since its opening.

The Tennessee Department of Education’s virtual school monitoring process evaluates schools on key areas such as instructional quality, student engagement, and operational effectiveness. CMCSS K-12 Virtual’s consistent achievement of this status highlights its ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, personalized education for students across grade levels in a fully virtual environment.

Virtual School 2025-26 Monitoring Report

This recognition highlights the school’s commitment to providing high-quality virtual education and ensuring that all students are supported in their academic growth. This accomplishment reflects the collective efforts of our dedicated teachers, staff, students, and families.
